This is an enriching 3-hour experience tailored to enhance doula practice in hospital birth environments. Taught in-person at SCI by experienced L&D and Mother-Baby RN Brooklynn Gonzales from Kaiser Hospital, this class provides a guided journey from triage admission to postpartum discharge, incorporating visual aids of hospital facilities including triage, PACU, OR, newborn nursery, and NICU. Through a concise presentation, participants will gain valuable knowledge on the rationale behind hospital procedures, empowering them to better support their clients in this setting. The 3-hour session includes interactive Q&A segments, equipping doulas with the tools to advocate for their clients and effectively communicate with healthcare providers.
