Birth & Postpartum Doula
I’m driven to hold space for each birthing person as they navigate the labor labyrinth. When a birthing person feels deeply supported and nurtured, they can find the strength they didn’t know they had. It’s not about what interventions you want or don’t want…..It’s about educating yourself on the birthing process so that you are an active participant in your own journey so your voice is heard. As your advocate, I will not speak for you. I will simply empower you.
My birth philosophy centers around doing what’s best for the mom and baby. I want families to have the birth they imagine, and I want to assist in any way I can to help make that birth they imagine a reality. Through education of any and everything regarding birth, pregnancy and beyond, I just want to communicate with families about what they want and figure out the best way to accomplish that.
Every birth is personal and individual to the mother and the new child entering the world. I believe there are as many ways to birth a child as there are children being born. There truly is no “right” way, there is only YOUR way. My role as your doula is to hold space for you to explore and experience your birth into motherhood however feels natural to you, to help navigate whatever may arise emotionally, to help you lean into new possibilities if plans change, and to simply help integrate the present moment and it’s challenges to best serve you moving forward. Birth is a transformative and sacred experience that requires care to be taken, support to be given, space to be protected, and love to be permeating.
Having a doula or a positive non-judgmental person next to you, helping you navigate motherhood, is the best recovery anyone can have. During the postpartum time, many mothers may struggle both emotionally and physically. New moms deserve support and I am here to help.
